OK here's the scoop on my sociology assignment.

The next day, (yes, I did finish my assignment on time) I was all ready to turn in my assignment on how society functions and he says to PUT IT AWAY!! This angered DJNY and made her pissed off. He says that if you did it then great, if you didn't then you still had time to do it. I stayed up until 7:30pm the night before doing this damn assignment and he says not to turn it in. That we still have another week.

I know that 7:30 doesn't sound like very late, but my mom told me that since I was "sick" that I had to go to bed @ 7:00. She went to bed early (6:00) and I sneaked staying awake another 1/2 hour. When I told her the next day she was pissed off.

Now our new assignment is that we have to write a paper on how the "structural-functionalism" theory applies to our life. I'm already confused. I don't know how this applies to me. It's really pissing me off.

Try to incorporate your thought into the new assignment. It may get his attention. You can approach the instructor and let the person know of your efforts too in a civil way. It may get you some sympathy(qua guilt on the instructors part) as a dedicated student who thinks people should do what they say and say what they mean. I hand it in anyway and say it was the assignment the deadline and it's submitted for grade as such. Instructors don't realize they lose control, respect, and credibility by such dismissive actions. I once did a statement of what I would have for an epitaph and when it was not followed up as yours wasn't, it stuck in my craw. I wanted to stand on my chair and read it out loud. You are right to expect a reward of respectful reading consideration for your effort. To this day that damn epitaph is in my head and you once again reminded me of the injustice of having hard work ignored. Your ethic is character and you will take it with you through life. It will long reward your efforts after you leave school, so it's good to feel frustrated or angry over it.

Thank you sooooo much for this response!!! I actually printed it out and am considering giving the damn ass the chance to see what it does to us students. Hopefully he'll learn from it and think before he does that again.

Hopefully he also collects the next assignment that is due tomorrow.
